Gas

While they may not produce the same classic black soot that wood burning fires do, that does not mean that gas appliances burn completely clean or that they do not require maintenance. One common issue with these units is water damage, which can become an expensive and complex issue in a very short amount of time. This issue can be addressed and even avoided by installing the right chimney liner. Scheduling regular inspections to keep your unit running safely is highly recommended.

Wood

The classic wood-burning fireplace is hard to resist, but it doesn’t have to be hard to maintain. There is a large variety to chose from, and whether it be a freestanding unit or installed in an existing fireplace, our team will safely and professionally install your appliance and get you ready for winter. Once installed, proper maintenance and care is required to keep your chimney safe and clean. As with all units, a liner is recommended, as well as annual inspections.

Oil

A common misconception is that if you don’t have a wood or gas stove, you don’t have a need for chimney maintenance. This is untrue. Most would assume that your oil technician would take care of the chimney but this is not the case. Even in the case of oil heat, proper maintenance is important as the unit still relies on the chimney for ventilation. Annual inspections to ensure proper functionality is suggested.
